Being more than just a streaming service, Netflix is a brand that has always celebrated inclusivity and put diverse stories forward. With this spot, we helped Netflix challenge the rest of the industry and invite creators to go against the grain and bring in new voices and diverse stories, so there’s more representation for writers, directors, and actors—and, as a result, more representative movies and TV for audiences.
Red & Co. made it a priority to use female creative and strategic teams. The spot was directed by an African-American director, cut by a female editor, and we worked with a woman-led production company—making room while making “Make Room.”
